Education: Mrs. Marina Pekri is a Research Associate of the ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence, and member of the research team of Dr. Chris Danezis in CUT Laboratory of Geodesy and Hydrographic Surveying. She holds a BSc “Survey Engineering and Geomatics” and a MSc, with distinction, in “Geoinformatics and Geospatial Technologies” from the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT). To date, she is a PhD candidate in the field of Satellite Altimetry at the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics at CUT.
Professional background: Mrs. Pekri has worked as a Research Associate at Electricity Authority of Cyprus, being responsible in updating the servers in ArcGIS environment. Apart from that, she has attended the planning department, designing the infrastructures static plans. Also, she has been trained as a land surveyor at the Department of Lands and Surveys. Furthermore, she has been trained in ArcGIS platform (ArcGIS I, ArcGIS II, Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro) at Marathon Data Systems in Athens. Amongst others she is a member of the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ETEK).
Research: Her research focuses on Satellite Altimetry, Radar, GIS, Remote Sensing, etc.
