Education: Mrs. Kyriaki Fotiou is currently a PhD Candidate in the field of SAR Satellite Data in Deformation Monitoring Applications at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), under the supervision of Dr. Chris Danezis. She holds a BSc Degree in Survey Engineering and Geomatics from the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) and a MSc Degree, with distinction, in Geoinformation and Geospatial Technologies from Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), as well.
Professional background / participation in funded projects: Mrs. Fotiou is currently a Research Associate A’ in ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence and she has also experience in teaching as Teaching Assistant at the undergraduate courses of Geodesy. Since 2020, she has an active role in the funded project “CyCLOPS INFRASTRUCTURES/1216/0050”. Recently, she is involved in “AI-OBSERVER” FUNDED PROJECT. Additionally, Mrs. Fotiou has been a Research Associate in the Planning Department, at Electricity Authority of Cyprus, being responsible in collecting, processing, and updating data in ArcGIS environment. Moreover, she has worked as a trainee Surveyor at the Department of Lands and Surveys of Cyprus with responsibilities in updating cadastral plans, investigating, and resolving cadastral cases and differences. Previously, she had worked as a Trainee GIS Analyst in ArcGIS Platform at Marathon Data Systems, in Greece. Amongst others, Mrs. Fotiou is a member of the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ETEK).
Research interests: Her research mainly focused on Remote Sensing (SAR Satellite Image Processing), SAR Interferometry, Geodesy and GIS Applications.
