Dr Christiana Papoutsa (f) is the Deputy Coordinator of the Environment and Climate Department of the ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence, and a Researcher leading its Agriculture sector. Christiana is also a Researcher and Special Scientist at Cyprus University of Technology (CUT). She holds a BSc in Chemistry (Oct.2006), and a MSc in Environmental Chemistry & Technology (Mar.2009) both from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, and a PhD in the Integrated Use of Field Spectroscopy and Satellite Remote Sensing for Monitoring Inland & Coastal Water Quality from the Cyprus University of Technology (Dec.2015). Her research interests are Water resources management; Risk assessment for aquatic ecosystems using space technologies; Smart water management for agriculture; Remote Sensing and GIS for environmental applications; Ground field spectroscopy; Climate change; Educational activities. Christiana has published over 25 peer-reviewed journal/conference papers (google scholar h-index: 9). She participated in the writing and submission of many research proposals in various calls, such as H2020, INTERREG, ESA-PECS, RPF/RIF, Prima, ERASMUS+, Horizon Europe, etc. and worked in more than 25 research projects, both from a technical and managerial point of view. She is currently involved in the following activities: key actors’ engagement for Co-develop / Co-design of the ERATOSTHENES Agriculture Living Lab; Development of the ERATOSTHENES CoE AgriNexus Hub; Agriculture demonstration Project; ERATOSTHENES Agriculture Projects.
