Despoina-Anastasia Makridou is currently serving as Assistant Researcher A’ at Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence, focusing on developing Geographical Information Systems. She is a graduate of the School of Rural and Surveying Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and holder of a postgraduate diploma of the same department, entitled “Techniques and Methods for Spatial Analysis, Planning and Management” as well as holder of a postgraduate diploma of the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Studies Programme of the Departments of Law, School of Rural and Surveying Engineering and School of Forestry and Natural Environment of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, entitled “Cadastre: Legal, Technical and Environmental Dimensions.”. She has 17 years of experience and active participation in more than 30 projects in several public projects regarding urban planning studies, topographic studies, cadastral studies and Geographic Information Systems studies, as a project manager, team coordinator and team member. She is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece, the Hellenic Association of Rural and Surveying Engineers and the Association of Rural and Surveying Engineers of Northern Greece.
