Business Development and Commercialization of Innovative Technology Applications and IPR Functions Officer

Biography

Charalambos Theodorou received a B.Sc. Double degree in Electrical and Computer engineering from Southern Illinois University, USA (2003) and an Executive M.B.A from University of Cyprus (2009). He also received a post-graduate diploma in Wireless and Satellite Communications systems Engineering, from University of Surrey, UK, (2014).

He is a full member of Scientific and Technical chamber of Cyprus (Electronics, Electrical and Computer Engineering sectors) since 2003. He is also a full member of the Cyprus Electromechanical services Department of Cyprus.

While studying in the US, he has been accepted for an internship (COOP), at Seagate corporation, Silicon Valley, CA, USA, where he had worked as an intern, and he had the opportunity to pass from different departments and passed from several trainings and had the opportunity to understand the technology trends of that time.

During his initial career, he worked in several large international organizations, in the ICT sector, where he worked in technically complex engineering projects while performing tasks in the design, configuration and optimization of the projects.

Later in his mid-level career, he has been appointed in several senior positions as a project and programs senior manager and worked in various international organizations, like Ericsson, IBM global, Conduent state and local solutions, Avanti Communications PLC, etc. He has an extensive experience in managing large scale global and diverse tech projects that he had delivered successfully. In addition, he had worked intensively in Research and innovation projects, while developing complex technical proposals and implementations for projects funded by various funded bodies like FP7, H2020, Horizon Europe, and the ESA. During his appointments, he had also worked extensively on many multi-tasking and remote technical and non-technical teams where he had delivered many global innovative projects with substantial technical impact in society.

In 2024, he joined ECoE, as Business analysis and IPR officer where he works in the development of business plans for various applications, and he performs specific business analysis procedures to investigate the business sustainability of various applications developed in the center.
