Biography

Eirini Nikolaou is a Research Assistant A’ at ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence of the Cyprus University of Technology in the Environment and Climate department, specifically in the Agriculture cluster team. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree (BSc) in Biological Sciences from the University of Cyprus along with a Master’s of Science Degree (MSc) in Agricultural Biotechnology from Cyprus University of Technology. Her BSc Thesis on carob intercropping systems was a part of Black Gold H2020 project, focusing on carob water potential dynamics and abiotic stress. Eirini’s MSc Thesis, on the other hand, was conducted in the Plant Physiology Laboratory Group of CUT and primarily involved laboratory work focused on an in vitro evaluation of innovative zeolite-based nanomaterials as priming agents. As a member of Plant Physiology Group, she achieved her first publication as a co-author in a book chapter. She is adept at managing various aspects of research projects, including operating analytical equipment and setting up experiments.
