Konstantinos Christofi successfully completed his Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. His master’s dissertation, titled “Teaching Robots: Uncovering User Preferences and Interaction Patterns,” delved into the intricacies of human-robot collaboration, emphasizing intuitive interaction and feedback provision. Throughout his academic journey, Konstantinos explored a myriad of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies, dedicating significant attention to predictive modeling and machine learning methodologies. Prior to his master’s, Konstantinos earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and Informatics from Cyprus University of Technology, demonstrating consistent academic excellence. His bachelor’s dissertation, “Real-Time Ship Route Visualization Using AIS Data,” involved utilizing the Automatic Identification System (AIS) on ships for efficient tracking and monitoring of ship traffic. Currently serving as an Assistant Researcher A’ at the Big Earth Data Analytics Department at ERATOSTHENES Center of Excellence, Konstantinos is actively engaged in data mining and information extraction. His work involves contributing to the field of Artificial Intelligence by applying his expertise in predictive modeling and machine learning. Moreover, in his current position, Konstantinos is set to dive into the world of AI engineering and handle earth observation data, expanding the knowledge he acquired during his studies into real-world applications under the project “AI-Observer”.
