Biography

Dr. Kyriaki Fotiou holds a PhD in the field of SAR Satellite Data for Deformation Monitoring Applications from the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT). She also holds a BSc Degree in Survey Engineering and Geomatics and an MSc Degree, with distinction, in Geoinformation and Geospatial Technologies, both from CUT. Dr. Fotiou is currently a Research Associate A’ at the Resilient Society Department of ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence, where she is actively involved in the “CyCLOPS+ (SMALL SCALE INFRASTRUCTURES/1222/0082)”, “AI-OBSERVER” and “EXCELSIOR” funded projects. Since 2020, she has also been a core member of the funded project “CyCLOPS INFRASTRUCTURES/1216/0050.” In addition to her research, she has teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant in undergraduate Geodesy courses. Dr. Fotiou is a registered member of the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ETEK) and the Cyprus Association of Rural and Surveying Engineers (CARSE). Her research interests mainly focus on Remote Sensing (SAR Satellite Image Processing), SAR Interferometry and GIS Applications.
