Dr. Konstantinos ROUSSOS

Biography

Dr. Roussos is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Resilient Society Department at Eratosthenes CoE. He specializes in Landscape Archaeology of the Late Antique and Byzantine Period as well as in the Management of Cultural Heritage. He has ample research experience in European and locally funded research projects in Greece and Cyprus. Between 2015 and 2022, he was involved in various archaeological research projects at the Institute for Mediterranean Studies/Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas (Crete-Greece). From 2020 to 2022 his post-doctoral research proposal entitled “Cretan ports and harbors from Late Antiquity to the Byzantine Early Middle Ages (4thearly 9th c. AD)” was selected to be funded by the State Scholarships Foundation of Greece. He has worked as a visiting Lecturer in Byzantine Archaeology at the Departments of History and Archaeology of the University of Crete and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece). Between 2021 and 2024, he was a Research Associate at the School of Law of the University of Nicosia (Cyprus) in the context of the Horizon 2020 project “Redefining the Future of Culture Heritage, through a disruptive model of sustainability”. He has delivered public lectures and has been involved in the organization of international conferences. He has participated in many international conferences and a number of his studies have been published.
