Biography

Christodoulos received his undergraduate degree from the University of Nottingham, where he obtained the degree of MEng (Master of Engineering) Honours in Civil Engineering. His postgraduate degree was a Master in Science degree (MSc) from the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT). His PhD concerned Asphalt Pavement Condition Assessment using Remote Sensing Techniques at the CUT. At the moment, he is working as Entrepreneurship / Services Coordinator and Deputy Coordinator of the Resilient Society Department of ERATOSTHENES Centre Of Excellence (ECοE). Also, he is coordinating EU funded projects at CUT. Since September 2014, he worked as a researcher in a number of projects funded under H2020, INTERREG Greece-Cyprus and ECHO. In May 2022, he was employed at the ECoE in the Department of Resilient Society. He, also, worked as an expert on the National Risk Assessment of Cyprus and on the evaluation of Phase III – Strengthening Disaster Risk Management Capacities in Lebanon. His research interests are comprised in the field of Spectral Signatures, Remote Sensing and GIS for environmental applications, Disaster Risk Reduction, Integration of remote sensing and UAV techniques for road maintenance, Maritime Spatial Planning, Surface water quality monitoring of inland & coastal water bodies. Finally, he worked in the construction industry and particularly was managing Solea’s Dam construction in Cyprus (budget ≈ 20 million Euros).
