Biography

Konstantinos Chrysostomou has joined the Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence since July 2024 as an Intern, working within the cluster of the Atmosphere of the Environment and Climate Department. He has studied at the University of Cyprus, where he completed his Bachelor studies in Physics in 2023, whereas since September 2023 till now, Konstantinos is a Master’s student at the Cyprus University of Technology pursuing an M.Sc. in Geoinformatics and Earth Observation. His master’s thesis focuses primarily on the leveraging of Doppler LiDAR’s data to conduct an in-depth analysis of the average seasonal wind. Additionally, through this research, he aims to investigate the formation and dynamics of the Planetary Boundary Layer and to compare wind data from a ground-based LiDAR system with observations from satellites’ LiDAR.
