Dr. Sheraz Aslam is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the Big Earth Data Analytics Department at the Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence, Cyprus. His research lies at the intersection of artificial intelligence, big earth data analytics, remote sensing, digital twins, and cyber-physical systems, with applications in predictive maintenance, smart energy, intelligent transportation, and resilient infrastructure. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering and Informatics from the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), where he also served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. He has held academic and research positions at the European University of Cyprus, CTL Eurocollege, the University of Nicosia, and the International Digital Economy College at Minjiang University, China. Dr. Aslam serves as the Founder and Steering Chair of the Mediterranean Conference on Emerging Technologies and Systems (MCETS), an international conference series whose post-proceedings are published by Springer Nature in the Advanced Computing and Sustainable Technologies for Autonomous Research (ACSAR) book series. He also serves as guest editor in several international journals. He has published more than 130 scientific articles with over 5,000 citations and has been recognized among the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University and Elsevier. His current research focuses on trustworthy and explainable AI, multimodal learning, geospatial intelligence, remote sensing, digital twins, predictive analytics, and AI-driven solutions for sustainable and resilient societies.
