AI in Medicine: From Prediction to Clinical Decision-Making

Neophytos Stylianou participated in the 44th Two-Day Medical Conference of the Limassol Medical Association (16–17 October 2026), discussing how AI can support clinical decision-making.

As a researcher at the ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence, his work focuses on leveraging data analytics and geospatial methodologies to support evidence-based decision-making and improve healthcare systems.

Drawing from his research, a key lesson was highlighted: statistical superiority does not necessarily translate into clinical benefit.

AI should support—not replace—the physician, strengthening clinical judgement and contributing to better patient outcomes.
