ERATOSTHENES CoE Aids Archaeological Discoveries at Erimi Bronze Age Site

On 8 August 2024, a team from the Cultural Heritage Cluster of Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence supported the Erimi Archaeological Project with a geodetic survey to map new findings at the renowned Bronze Age site.

The ERATOSTHENES CoE continues to strengthen its collaboration with the Italian Archaeological Mission in Cyprus of the University of Siena, led by Prof. Luca Bombardieri.

During data collection, the team faced several challenges due to a jammed GPS signal in the area, but they ultimately managed to collect all data with centimetric accuracy.

This synergy will continue throughout the excavation season.
