Biography

Christos Matthaiou recently completed successfully his Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering at the Cyprus University of Technology. His Master’s Thesis with title “Experimental Analysis of the Cross-Origin Isolation Mechanisms in Modern Web Browsers” examines how web browsers behave under a variety of security headers and also make a statistical analysis on the current adoption of correct isolation mechanisms by web developers. Prior to his master’s, Christos earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and Informatics from Cyprus University of Technology. His Bachelor’s Thesis was a Web Application named Environmental Incident Reporting App, named “EnvironEyes” which can help reducing environmental pollutions by reporting daily incidents. Through his academic work, he has gained experience in Machine Learning, Secure Web Applications, Environmental Monitoring, Data Extraction and Data Analysis. Also, Christos took part in a European University of Technology program where Cyprus University of Technology is a member with a variety of Universities from Spain, Bulgaria, Romania and other countries for a Blended Intensive Program on Internet of Things for Environmental Monitoring in Cartagena, Spain. Christos is currently completing an internship at the Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence, where he is expanding his knowledge in Earth Observation, Satellite Technologies, and Research-driven Innovation.
