Dr. Thalia Nikolaidou is a geodetic engineer specializing in precise orbit determination with a strong interdisciplinary focus on atmospheric science and Earth observation. Her work bridges satellite geodesy and atmospheric modeling, using GNSS-based techniques to analyse tropospheric effects on signal propagation and retrieval. She has conducted research on GNSS reflectometry for monitoring surface and atmospheric parameters and on precise point positioning for deriving high-resolution atmospheric delays used in weather and climate applications. Thalia has extensive experience with Precise Orbit Determination software and operational pipelines, focusing on the validation and refinement of orbit solutions and force models to achieve sub-centimetre accuracy for GNSS satellites. She actively contributes to the design, testing, and optimization of orbit determination systems, ensuring consistency between models, observations, and atmospheric corrections. Her work supports multi-institutional collaborations that integrate geodesy, meteorology, and remote sensing for improved Earth system understanding. She holds a BSc in Rural and Surveying Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2015), and an Ph.D. in Geodesy and Geomatics from the University of New Brunswick (2020).
