Biography

Team leader of the research team “Maritime Safety and Security” DLR

Since 2002, is working at DLR’s German Remote Sensing Data Center (DFD) at the ground station Neustrelitz which is part of Earth Observation Center EOC and is since 2012 team leader of the research team “Maritime Safety and Security” in Neustrelitz, Germany
Before, he has worked as technical manager with Security Systems
His main activities and responsibilities at DLR comprise ground segment implementation, verification, validation and operations, as well as near real time services development, implementation and validation of marine value adding services based on radar and optical remote sensing satellite data

This project has received funding from the Government of the Republic of Cyprus through the “Directorate General for European Programmes, Coordination and and Development”.
