Biography

Eleni Neofytou is a new member of the Eratosthenes CoE team and titled as Research Assistant A’. Eleni holds a BSc in Biochemistry at the University of Salford, Manchester finishing her studies on 2018. Eleni followed higher postgraduate studies in Biotechnology and Enterprise at the University of Manchester between 2018-2019. Her postgraduate research project was about the contribution of Gcn4 transcription activator to the GSH1 expression in Yeast based on glutathione production. Glutathione is of high importance in both human and plants survival. Her main research interest areas vary on soil nutrients, soil microbiology, diseases derived from climate change, carbon footprint and crops. Eleni planning to follow PhD studies by combine her research interest with remote sensing and earth observation supervised by Prof. Diofantos Hadjimitsis.
