Biography

He received his undergraduate degree from the National Technical University of Athens (Greece), where he obtained the degree of BSc/MSc in Rural and Surveying Engineering. After his studies, he worked as a surveyor, gaining professional experience in studying the natural environment, measuring land and marine resources, and compiling and evaluating data. Since September 2014, he was employed by the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) as a Research Associate. He is a Ph.D. candidate at the CUT studying remote sensing techniques for estimating bathymetry. He has research experience of more than eight years and also specialized professional experience as a Land Surveyor for ten years. Since September 2014, he has been working in the research group of Professor Diofantos Hadjimitsi and has active involvement in a number of research projects funded under H2020, INTERREG, and ECHO. In May 2022, he was employed at the Eratosthenes CoE in the Department of Resilient Society. He has contributed in writing research proposals for attracting financing in the field of geoinformatics and related subjects. His research interests are comprised in the field of Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems intended for environment, cultural heritage, Maritime Spatial Planning and Natural disaster management.
