Biography

Dr Neophytos Stylianou is currently a Researcher within the Resilient Society Department of the Eratosthenes CoE working on services provision. Neophytos has a PhD from the University of Manchester on Health Service Research/ Epidemiology/Public Health. The aim of his PhD was the evolution of the specialised burn injury health service utilising data. Neophytos holds an MPH from Imperial College London and a BSc in Biomedical Science from the University of Essex. He has worked as a biomedical scientist in a clinical laboratory at Basildon and Thurrock NHS hospital. He had several research positions; Cyprus University of Technology investigating the burden of family carers of dementia patients, European University of Cyprus, working on the RECHANCE project, and at the University of Bath, being a researcher in residence trying to provide solutions to real life problems found in the hospital. He has worked as a Public Health Intelligence Analyst with Public Health England. worked as a quality assurance officer for medical degrees with the University of Nicosia and has extensive experience in project management and proposal preparation through his work at RTD Talos. He has extensive teaching experience in various fields of Public Health and data analysis. His main research interest lies in using data for the improvement of health services, focusing on clinical epidemiology, prediction modelling and health policy evaluation.
