Biography

Nikolaos Xagoraris is currently serving as an Assistant Researcher A’ at the Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence, focusing on Earth Observation, Remote Sensing, and Geoinformatics. He is also a PhD candidate at the Cyprus University of Technology. Holding a Diploma in Rural, Surveying and Geoinformatics Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, his diploma thesis examined Managing spatial plans in Greece based on LADM-Part 5, highlighting how standardized approaches can enhance interoperability, accuracy, and efficiency in land administration. Through his academic and working life, Nikolaos has become accustomed to photogrammetry, remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), and digital mapping. His research and professional engagements reflect a consistent interest in the application of geospatial technologies to real-world challenges, transposing scientific innovation to operational realization.
