Mr. Nikos Christoforou works as a Satellite Ground Systems Operations Manager at Cyta. He is actively supporting the Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence in the efforts to acquire, install and operate the Data Acquisition Station. He is a PhD Candidate at the Cyprus University of Technology with his interests focused on GNSS Interference Detection and Localisation. He holds an MSc in Mobile and Satellite Communications and a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA). Mr. Nikos Christoforou has extensive experience in project management delivering a number of data center infrastructures, assembling medium to large satellite ground stations and managing Cyta’s complex projects. At the same time, he has multiyear experience in personnel management as he is leading Cyta’s Makarios Earth Station Radio Frequency and electromechanical teams for the last 15 years. His duties in Cyta extend into procurement of equipment and costing of services. He is also an active member of the Technical Chamber of Engineers in Cyprus (ETEK).
