Stefanos SIATHAS

Biography

Stefanos Siathas is a 3rd-year Lyceum student with a passion for data analysis, electrical engineering, and full-stack development. From a young age he has been building his knowledge through summer schools, additional courses, and learning opportunities at STEM Freak Nicosia; where he has also been working as a tutor for the past three years, teaching coding, web development and robotics.
Stefanos is the CTO of AquaWise, a company focused on sustainability that won the Best Sustainability Award through Junior Achievement Cyprus in April 2026. He gained hands-on experience at the scientific department of the cyprus planetarium in summer 2025 and completed an internship at Nucleus R&D in early 2026. In 2025 he also earned his STEAM Level 5 Certification through CyCert / ΚΕΠ.
On the competition side, Stefanos was part of the winning team behind Thalassat, a space data analysis project with a focus on maritime applications, that took joint first place at the Veneto Stars 2025 challenge in Venice; a European space data competition open to universities, graduates, and young professionals. He also took 1st place at the CASSINI Space Camp, won the “Action for Energy” initiative by the University of Cyprus, and as part of his Lyceum team finished 1st in Cyprus and 2nd across Europe in the EU-CONEXUS “Think Smart, Create Green” award, organised locally by Frederick University.
