Biography

Mr. Thrasos Stylianou is a graduate of the Department of Geology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He also holds a postgraduate degree in Applied Geophysics from the same university. Additionally, he is a PhD candidate in the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics at the Cyprus University of Technology. He is currently engaged at the ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence, contributing to the Cerberus project and the Framework Partnership Agreement on Copernicus User Uptake (FPCUP), with a particular focus on the GEOIN4ENV action. Formerly, he was affiliated with the University of Cyprus, working on the EXPASOL research program. His research interests encompass the application of various geospatial and computational tools such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, QGIS, Matlab, Python, and Google Earth Engine. He focuses on leveraging these technologies to address issues related to agriculture, cultural heritage, and natural disasters associated with geological phenomena.
