Volha Dubovik is an at ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence in the Environment and Climate department in the agriculture team. With a PhD candidate in Biotechnology and Bio-Nanotechnology at Belarusian State Technological University, complemented by extensive experience in operational environment conditions and treatment of activated sludge for biological removal of nitrogen and phosphorus compounds in the process of treatment municipal wastewater. She graduated the Belarusian State Technological University with a BSc and MSc in Biotechnology and Bio-Ecology. Her MSc Degree was focused on the transformation dynamics of phosphorus and nitrogen compounds in the process of biological wastewater treatment. Managed and participated scientific work carried out at wastewater treatment (optimization of the operation of treatment facilities, testing in a pilot plant of various modes of fermentation of sewage sludge, survival of experimental tree and shrub plantings in a sludge lagoon using sand after the mechanical stage of treatment, etc.). She has wide range of knowledge in sewage system, wastewater treatment, of education. Authored over 20 publications in Journals and International Conferences in the field of wastewater treatment. Awarded second place in the national competition for master’s theses in Belarus.
