Youssef Nadhyf is a GIS and remote sensing professional with a background in geospatial analysis, data integration, and environmental modelling, with a focus on climate and environmental management. He holds an MSc in Geoinformation in Environmental Management at the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania and holds a Master in Environmental Geomatics and a Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics and Land Management from Sultan Moulay Slimane University in Morocco. He has over two years of professional experience as a GIS Specialist supporting national and international projects through geodatabase management, spatial data validation, and map production for technical planning and reporting, including work related to water and sanitation infrastructure. His research and training experience in Earth observation and applied remote sensing includes satellite-based environmental assessment, quality evaluation of geospatial products against reference information, and UAV imagery analysis for environmental mapping. He has also applied machine learning workflows, spatial modelling, and multi-criteria approaches to support environmental monitoring, vegetation and landscape analysis, and urban and regional planning. His interdisciplinary profile enables him to translate complex geospatial data into clear, decision-oriented outputs that support sustainable environmental and resource management across diverse applications.
