ReSENSE workshop – RSCy2024
ReSense Workshop took place at the 10th International Conference on Remote Sensing and Geoinformation of the Environment, on April 8th, 2024 hosted by the Resense Consortium – ECECT.eu, Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence, and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
The conference allowed the ReSENSE project to showcase its forward-thinking training practices and innovative approaches.
Through engaging discussions and interactive sessions, attendees gained valuable insights into cutting-edge methodologies and best practices, paving the way for transformative advancements in geoinformation and environmental monitoring, especially in forestry and agriculture.
ReSENSE – Remote sensing technologies training is a project co-funded by the European Union, which aims to inspire professionals as well as graduates to embrace emerging technologies and competencies in the field of remote sensing, which are essential in today’s industry in Cyprus, Greece and the EU. By offering vocational training in remote sensing technologies, the project provides individuals with the opportunity to acquire new skills and knowledge, helping businesses enhance efficiency, reduce costs, while addressing environmental issues.
Project Objectives:
- Identify emerging competencies and technologies needed by the industry through desk research and stakeholder surveys.
- Develop educational material and a toolkit tailored to industry needs regarding remote sensing, geographical information systems, earth observation, Internet of Things, etc.
- Establish an online classroom for self-study and virtual attendance (class365.eu)
- Organize training activities and workshops for targeted groups.
