SmartPLAIGO: Transforming Emergency Healthcare with AI and GIS Innovations
To strengthen its mission in the healthcare sector, the State Health Services Organization (OKYPY) signed three collaboration protocols with the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) on Monday, December 2nd.
During the ceremony, the groundbreaking AVARIS system was presented. Developed by CUT’s eHealth Lab for the Ambulance Service Directorate, this system supports emergency and pre-hospital care.
Additionally, the SmartPLAIGO project was showcased, an evolution of AVARIS that integrates Artificial Intelligence and GIS to improve ambulance response times and optimize rerouting.
The event concluded with the presentation of an ambulance equipped with cutting-edge technologies for delivering emergency healthcare.
