Virtual Invited Talk: Landslide susceptibility mapping using satellite radar interferometry
On December 3rd, 2020, the EXCELSIOR H2020 project, the ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence (ECoE), the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics of the Cyprus University of Technology and Geofem Ltd organized a virtual invited talk by Dr. Skevi Perdikou.
Dr Skevi Perdikou is an experienced satellite remote sensing and geotechnical expert at the consultancy Geofem Ltd. She holds a BEng in Civil Engineering, an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering and a PhD degree from the University of Southampton in Satellite Remote Sensing.
Her combination of engineering and satellite remote sensing skills enable Geofem to offer advanced earth observation techniques for engineering applications and interpretation of results. She has worked on many research and commercial projects in satellite remote sensing using both optical and radar data. Some of her projects include the use of satellite radar data for ground and infrastructure movement monitoring for landslides, transportation networks, forensic investigations, urban monitoring, in Cyprus and around the world. She has also performed many research projects in the field of satellite remote sensing funded by national sources, the EU, the European Space Agency and the private sector.
